RN/Intensive Care Unit Permanent Role Location: McKinney TX 75071
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU.
- Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions recognize changes and respond promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians advanced practice providers and other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and families about critical care conditions and treatments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Adhere to infection control safety and hospital regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives.
Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing).
- Current active RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license).
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within designated facility timeframe.
- Strong critical thinking clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Experience working with the following ICU patient populations: medical surgical trauma neuro sepsis cardiac vascular.
