Job Description
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients with musculoskeletal issues.
- Diagnose orthopedic conditions through physical exams and imaging techniques.
- Perform a variety of surgical procedures including arthroscopy joint replacement and fracture fixation.
- Ensure precise follow-up care during the post-operative phase.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
- Provide non-surgical treatment options such as physiotherapy or medication.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in orthopedic technologies and treatment modalities.
- Create a supportive therapeutic environment for patients.
- Educate patients about their conditions and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in departmental meetings and quality assurance initiatives.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.
- Maintain adherence to hospital policies and ethical standards.
- Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about orthopedic health.
- Supervise and train junior staff and orthopedic residents as necessary.
- Medical Degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
- Masters degree in Surgery (MS) or Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Orthopedics.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in orthopedic surgery.
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery preferred.
- Proficient in a range of orthopedic procedures and techniques.
- Excellent diagnostic skills in orthopedic conditions.
- Strong understanding of post-operative care and rehabilitation processes.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing medical education and professional development.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Capability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Knowledge of current orthopedic practices and innovations.
