Job Description

Job Quick Facts:

Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient

Reason For Coverage: Supplemental

Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing

Coverage Type: Call only

Call Schedule: TBD; 24-hr call

Patient Volume: Ave. of 25-30

Ave. No. of GYN Surgeries: 3-4 per day

Admissions: 6 per day (nursery)

Physicians in Practice: 8

Mid-levels in Practice: 20

Support Staff: Each physician has an MA.

% of Practice: 50% Low-risk pregnancy 50% GYN 35% C-Section.

Required Procedures:

- Low & High-risk pregnancy

- Complicated Delivery: C-Section Breech Multiple Births Abruptions etc.

- VBACs Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations

- Surgical Gyne: Open Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only-Tubal Ligation LOAs Chromal Tubation Operative/Major (Includes Diagnostic): Ectopic Pregnancy Ovary Removal Cystectomy Extensive LOAs.

- Routine Delivery: Vaginal Low Forceps Decision-Making for C-Section.

- Office/Minor Gyne: IUD Cystoscopy Colposcopy Cryosurgery LEEP etc.

No. of Exam Rooms: Depends on the location

No. of Beds: 9 in L&D

Nursery Level: III

Trauma Level: II

EMR: Cerner/ Oracle

Travel lodging and malpractice insurance covered

Requirements:

NJ License

Local only (mileage)
