Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of work experience in cloud architecture with a strong focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS). As an AWS Cloud Architect you will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the scalability security and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.
Location: GTA ON
Status: Contract; 6 months with potential for extension
Workplace Type: Hybrid 2-day required onsite.
Responsibilities
- Designing implementing and maintaining cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure the scalability security and reliability of cloud infrastructure
- Providing expertise and guidance on AWS best practices and cloud architecture
- Evaluating and recommending new cloud technologies and services to meet organizational needs
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure and services
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in cloud architecture
- Strong expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Additional Requirement:
- Hybrid role with 2 days presence in the office
Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Possesses analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Extensive experience working with large data sets. Any/all financial sector experience is an asset. Demonstrates applied knowledge of one or more analysis and problem decomposition techniques. Understands complete Software Development Life Cycle and can apply the applicable portions of the Feasibility, Requirements, and Analysis phases. Understands and can explain to others the core processes involved in their area of support. Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience. Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth. Data driven decision making - In-depth.
