Lead Infant Teacher - NAEYC Accredited Preschool
The Child Development Center is looking for an energetic creative and loving Lead Infant Teacher to join our teaching team. We are NAEYC accredited and a 4 Star Texas Rising Star preschool located in Southwest Austin serving children from infants through Pre-K. As an established non-profit preschool our primary focus is on children families and staff. We are a year-round program.
This position is a full-time year-round exempt position.

Duties Include:
- Collaborating with other Teachers and Education Directors to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants that follows the standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Texas Rising Star
- Creating engaging and intentional lesson plans following the curricula implemented at the school
- Engaging with infants in sensory play which may mean getting on the floor to interact with them
Managing and supporting the Assistant Teachers in the classroom through collaboration modeling and frequent communication - Completing developmentally appropriate assessments of each child
- Ensuring each infants needs are met
- Frequently changing diapers clothes or sheets
- Maintain and ensure that classroom cleanliness guidelines are met throughout the day
- Communicating with families both verbally and in writing
- Maintaining an organized and clean classroom environment conducive to play-based learning
- Actively engaging with children throughout all daily activities
- Ensure compliance with state licensing minimum standards and compliance with school policies
Qualifications:
- Minimum: 1 years of teaching experience with infants
- Preferred Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development Elementary Education or EC Special Education
- Required CDA or Associates Degree in Education
- Candidates must meet all TDFPS requirements and must pass the appropriate background check
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to sit stand squat bend reach lift and be physically active for long periods
