Automation Engineer Job
Omaha NE area

$65k-$80k plus excellent benefits and room for growth.
Full Relocation Assistance offered

Our manufacturing client located in the Omaha NE area has a job opening for an Automation Engineer.

The ideal candidate will be forward thinking analytical an excellent problem solver and has excellent oral and written communication skills.
A background in automated equipment in food or high-speed packaging manufacturing is preferred

Some Job Responsibilities:

* Design develop maintain and implement control systems (hardware & software) to improve production times quality equipment performance energy consumption down-time reduction and process automation
* Obtain complete understanding of company process control systems and their impact on the production line beginning with scrap from raw materials to a finished product
* Make recommendations for development action; analyze modify and improve programmable logic controllers (PLC) and human-machine interfaces (HMI)
* Design and monitor performance indicators create the necessary bridges between control site and company information systems
* Provide on-going maintenance support and resolution of process control system problems including taking ownership of such problems to completion
* Project management responsibilities

Automation Engineer Job Requirements:
* 4 years of maintenance supervision /controls/Automation engineering experience; required. Bachelors Degree is a plus
* Must have experience in an automated high-speed packaging operation; food or consumer goods manufacturing is preferred
* Advanced technical skills in electrical repair: PLCs instrumentation engineering hydraulics motors AC/DC 480 volts VFDs robotics.
* Experience working with Allen-Bradley PLC drives HMI software and hardware and ability to read equipment drawings (hydraulic electrical pneumatic etc.)
* Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems work order processes preventive/ predictive maintenance TPM inventory and scheduling software preferred.
* Able to lead problem solving and troubleshooting efforts associated with high-level electrical issues.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient with MS Word Excel and Outlook.
* Good planning and priority setting skills.
