Qualifications:
- Education: Masters degree from an accredited school of nursing or a physician assistant program
- Licensure/Certification:
- Valid APRN or PA license in the state of Connecticut (preferred)
- Eligible for DEA and state narcotic registration
- Experience: 12 years experience in an ambulatory or urgent care setting preferred
- Language: Spanish language proficiency preferred

- Skills:
- Deep knowledge of nursing or physician assistant theory and practice
- Ability to provide high-quality comprehensive professional clinical care

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary health care including health promotion and disease prevention activities
- Collaborate with department physicians and refer patients to consultants as appropriate
- Take medical histories assess conditions interpret findings and make evidence-based clinical decisions
- Maintain timely thorough and accurate clinical documentation
- Deliver culturally competent care to a diverse patient population
- Communicate effectively with patients peers and stakeholders
- Comply with department and organizational quality measures
- Utilize electronic health records and other computer systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Examination Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical exams and health assessments
- Gather and document patient medical histories
- Assess and monitor patient conditions
Medical Oversight Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with supervising physicians for diagnosis and treatmentplanning
- Refer patients to specialists or consultants as needed
- Ensure compliance with established clinical standards and protocols
