Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department ensuring cleanliness and guest satisfaction in a variety of settings. Managing staff budgets inventory and operational procedures to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
Essential Functions:
- Managing departmental expenses controlling costs and developing budgets
- Hiring training scheduling and supervising housekeeping managers and team members
- Assure all staff maintain quality/performance standards in all areas
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed
- Ensure guest and owner requests receive the highest priority
- Conduct daily line-ups
- Assure the timely completion of guest rooms daily
- Managing monthly inventories and ordering supplies as needed
- Reviewing daily labor and revenue reports
- Inspect guest rooms daily to ensure compliance with FORBES and Stein standards
- Prepare daily and turn down housekeeping assignments
- Inspect all units for deficiencies report engineering items and follow up to ensure proper completion of repairs
- Oversee the management of lost and found items
- Timely completion of manager and team member reviews
- Performing disciplinary action and coaching as needed
- Follow up with guest/owner concerns
- Maintain effective communication with the corporate director other department managers and the front office team.
- Attend meetings as scheduled.
Other Responsibilities:
- Handle special projects as assigned
- Review new products and test for effectiveness
- Ensure the security of all housekeeping areas during and at the close of the shift
- Any other duties as assigned
Education Experience and Skills Required:
High School diploma or equivalent
College-level courses or related job experience
Three to five years in hotel front or back of house
