We are seeking an IM Product Delivery Specialist who brings a strong Product-oriented mindset to help drive and enhance key IM capabilities across the front (Trading Sales) middle (Risk) and back office (Sales Ops Logistics) of our PGM Marketing Business. This hybrid role combines strategic thinking and analysis with hands-on delivery execution. You will focus on identifying and resolving real user challenges and delivering lasting product value.
In this role you will act as the essential link between Traders Sales Managers Operations and Technology leading the end-to-end process of discovery definition and delivery of enhancements that support tangible commercial results.
Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Product Discovery & Definition
Trading & Sales
- Define and own product roadmap for the ETRM platform and other trading applications across physical and derivatives flow
- Align product development with commercial trading strategies and regulatory requirements
- Risk & Analytics
- Own the product roadmap for market credit and operational risk tools including real time dashboards P&L attribution and scenario analysis capabilities
- Collaborate with risk management teams to understand regulatory obligations control frameworks and internal reporting needs.
- Ensure the platform supports risk monitoring across physical inventories derivative exposures FX and counterparty credit.
Finance
- Define and maintain the product roadmap for finance-related systems including:
o P&L attribution and daily flash reporting
o Invoice generation and trade settlement automation
o Intercompany accounting and reconciliation
o Financial data integrations (ERP trading systems risk)
o Month-end close process support
- Work closely with finance accounting and treasury teams to gather requirements prioritize pain points and design solutions.
- Translate accounting and finance workflows into detailed product requirements and user stories.
Sales Operations ISOP and Logistics
- Define and drive the roadmap for logistics and inventory management systems covering:
o Inbound/outbound shipments
o Storage and custody tracking (e.g. vaults warehouses refineries)
o Real-time inventory visibility
o Assay and quality tracking
o Document management (e.g. shipping docs certificates warehouse receipts)
- Gather requirements from logistics operations and trading teams to ensure systems align with business flows.
- Collaborate with external partners (vaults logistics providers customs agents) to facilitate digital integration.
General Responsibilities
- Partner with internal stakeholders across Front middle and back-office teams to understand workflows challenges and product needs.
- Translate business problems into product opportunities framing requirements in terms of user value business impact and feasibility.
- Help shape and maintain a product roadmap focused on enabling scalable auditable and automated commodity operations.
- Collaborate with other Product Specialists and key users from the Trading team to shape product roadmap and prioritize high-impact features.
II. Product Delivery
Trading
- Align product development with commercial trading strategies and regulatory requirements.
o Ensure seamless integration between the ETRM system and surrounding systems:
o Market data providers (e.g. LME Bloomberg Refinitiv)
o Risk & P&L tools
o Inventory and logistics systems
o ERP and settlement systems
Risk & Analytics
- Regularly gather feedback from stakeholders to iterate on features performance and usability.
- Work closely with the trading desk to integrate risk insights directly into trader workflows and strategy.
- Oversee data pipelines and integration for market prices curves volatilities counterparty exposures and reference data.
- Ensure timely and accurate risk data feeds from trading systems inventory platforms and market data providers.
Finance
- Drive the delivery of tools and automations that replace manual spreadsheet-heavy processes.
- Manage integration between the trading platform and ERP/GL systems (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite).
- Deliver reporting capabilities for finance KPIs cost allocations balance sheet reconciliations and cashflow forecasts.
Sales Operations ISOP and Logistics
- Translate physical flow processes into digital workflows user stories and interface designs.
- Partner with engineering teams to deliver reliable secure and user-friendly Sales Ops ISOP and logistics tools.
General Responsibilities
- Engage daily with users across Front middle and back-office to understand needs pain points and workflows.
- Drive sprint planning backlog grooming and delivery cadence with engineering and QA teams.
- Ensure stories meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) and align to acceptance criteria.
- Ensure strong stakeholder engagement and change management throughout the delivery cycle.
- Monitor feature adoption and usage gather feedback and recommend improvements.
- Participate in retrospectives release reviews and team ceremonies to optimise team performance and delivery velocity.
Support:
- Act as the key specialist point of contact for service providers in problem solving and investigations related to incidents in the Marketing area where they relate to systems
- Provide 3rd line support including problem root cause analysis and resolution
- Ensure the knowledge underpinning application/service delivery is documented managed and maintained
- Manage service introduction and deployment of new business functionality ensuring best practice by any third-party teams
- Training users on new functionality and creating supporting user manuals
Qualifications :
- An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors degree or equivalent) ideally in a technical degree (Computer Science Engineering Mathematics Pure Science
- It would be advantageous to have a postgraduate qualification in the related business or IM discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
- Registration with professional bodies relevant to the role -Desirable
Experience:
Essential:
- 5 years of product management or business analysis experience ideally in commodity trading or capital markets.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced high-stakes environments with front-office users.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in SQL Excel and dashboarding tools.
- Experience working in Agile product development teams.
- Familiarity with product discovery techniques: journey mapping MVP scoping value stream analysis.
- Proven ability to translate strategic business goals into actionable product requirements and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Hands-on experience with ETRM or trading platforms (e.g. ASPECT)
Preferred:
- Strong domain knowledge of PGM or metals trading including logistics inventory and settlement processes
- Strong understanding of risk concepts: market risk (VAR< stress testing) credit risk liquidity and operational risk
- Understanding of hedge accounting Mark to Market and valuation concepts
- Exposure to regulatory financial reporting
