LOCThe Queensway EastMississaugaOntarioL4X 2Z5CanadaOtis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Warehouse Manager to join our team.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in managing 10000 square foot warehouse space primarily used for tooling/spare part storage safety/material supply and occasional cross docking
- Maintain control over inventory levels in warehouse to meet internal and external demand of product
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping and forklift general safety
- Maintain standards of health and safety hygiene and security
- Receive incoming freight deliveries and schedule daily outgoing truck deliveries
- Ensuring all tools are certified as required ordering new tools and kits as needed
- Manage incoming and outgoing hydraulic oil and ensure that oil waste containment process adhered to
- Communicate internally with salaried team (GM operations manager service/repair supervisor construction superintendent) and field employees (maintenance repair construction)
- Support in ordering parts material safety gear and uniforms through vendors (request purchase orders receive invoices and pay for completed service)
- Creating Purchase Orders and assembling documentation for New Construction & Modernization Projects.
Education / Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate/diploma in warehousing/logistics is considered a plus
Basic Qualifications
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel)
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean/safe warehouse environment
- Strong verbal communication skills to effectively develop relationships with internal and external customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid forklift license preferred
- JD Edwards (JDE) knowledge is considered a plus
