Flux is currently searching for an Electrical Engineer PE for one of our clients located in Portland OR. Our client is a global A/E-EPCM firm with more than 20 offices around the world and projects in more than 30 countries. Projects include program management services from site selection through design construction commissioning and start-up for seamless project delivery.
Summary:
Our client is seeking an Electrical Engineer PE who will provide sustaining facilities electrical engineering support for our clients site electrical distribution systems in the life science and advanced technology sectors.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Review and approve electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution systems
- Collaborate with architects engineers and contractors on new construction/renovation projects
- Review electrical design specifications and drawings
- Subject matter expert for low & medium voltage electrical distribution systems. To include: MCCs generators transformers low voltage substations UPS.
- Review cost estimates and budgets
- Work on multiple projects
- Current NEC codes knowledge
- Read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
- Lead project team(s) as required
Knowledge skills and abilities:
- PE registration is required
- 5 years experience in areas such as low and medium voltage power easy power load flow analysis and electrical engineering drawings in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Mechanical Electrical and Process (MEP) engineers and technicians.
- Experience with multi-discipline large capital projects involving Owners General Contractors Contractors and System Integrators.
- Good Understanding of Design/Build (Engineering and Construction)
- Familiar with facilities document control systems
- Experience with electrical as-built drawings that are incorporated into master CAD drawings
- Experience reviewing and updating electrical system models
- Experience with project close out: reviewing construction specifications as-builts O&M manuals and submittals
- Experience with CAD support on projects
- Proficient with written and verbal technical communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- A degree emphasizing power distribution or equivalent work experience in life science or advanced technology manufacturing will be considered
