Job Description
Join Our Team as a Certified Dental AssistantII in Southern Pines!
Are you an enthusiastic energetic and hard-working dental assistant Our general dentistry office in Southern Pines is looking for a friendly team-oriented certified DA II with at least two years of experience. Knowledge of Eaglesoft is a plus but not required. Office hours are Monday through Thursday 8 am to 5 pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- X-ray certification
- Excellent customer service skills
- Minimum of two years of dental assisting experience
- Experience with root canal procedures and oral surgery isa plus
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for dental procedures
- Gather patient vitals and update medical histories
- Schedule follow-up exams from the doctor recall list
- Assist the hygienist with sterilizing and positioning instruments suctioning and passing instruments
- Take diagnostic X-rays
- Document dental care services in patient records
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by following procedures rules and regulations
- Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols
Qualifications:
- X-ray certification
- Excellent customer service skills
- Minimum of two years of dental assisting experience
