Under the direction of the corps officer the maintenance supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings grounds and equipment ofth4e Bushwick Corps. The maintenance supervisor is also responsible for maintaining electrical plumbing mechanical and related systems within the Bushwick Corps property and building.
Responsibilities
Supervises and assigns the work of maintenance employees and volunteers
General maintenance of all Salvation Army property including parking lot areas; General building upkeep.
Receiving of all deliveries and ensuring that they are securely packed and covered in storage room.
Ability to perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as
Perform minor repairs such as ceiling tile changing stopping of leaks wherever required
Clean and maintain the front of the building by always keeping area free of garbage and clean .
Ability to update inventories and other supplies as needed as per approved by the corps
Coordinates or installs inspects repairs and maintains the electrical plumbing and other related systems of all with in all department locations as per approved by the corps
Does general repairs such as painting patching walls security hardware hanging shelves and landscaping.
Coordinates renovations of existing facilities and the construction of new
Qualifications
High School Diploma
Two or more years in experience in general maintenance or other maintenance responsibilities that would include the ability to recognize electrical plumbing and mechanical malfunctions or equipment failures.
Training beyond high school level in general maintenance and repair or closely related
