Job Summary

The Senior Tax Analyst is integral to the America Fujikura Ltd (AFL) Tax Dept. Reporting to the Tax Manager the incumbent is involved in all areas of US federal state and local income tax. taxation from preparing reviewing and reconciling domestic tax packages reviewing assigned domestic returns supporting income tax audits income tax audit support and property tax.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare distribute review and reconcile tax packages to gather requisite information from the US business units required for the preparation of the AFL federal and state income tax returns.
  • Review fixed asset additions monthly confirming proper tax depreciation method and life.
  • Prepare tax fixed asset roll-forwards provide support for all tax-sensitive transactions. Reconcile to GAAP fixed asset roll-forwards and trial balances.
  • Prepare Right-of-Use asset roll-forwards provide support for all tax-sensitive transactions reconcile to trial balances.
  • Coordinate property tax reporting with third-party provider establish timelines and due date deliverables. Coordinate with Legal and Treasury to identify new expanded and closed locations and communicate changes to third-party provider.
  • Track property tax filings assessments and payments. Review assessments reasonableness.
  • Support quarterly and year-end financial audit and reporting activity.
  • Track income tax payments and reconcile income tax accounts monthly
  • Research tax issues and respond to tax notices

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance Required
  • CPA MST preferred
  • Five or more years tax experience with federal and state income tax reporting and property tax
  • Property tax SC FILOT and related incentives experience
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and pivot tables)
