About this Job
This position is for a full-time 9-month unclassified faculty position at our Natchitoches Campus.
Anticipated start date is August 11 2025.

- Associate degree in healthcare or related field from a regionally accredited institution; Bachelors degree preferred.
- Louisiana Licensed Paramedic.
- Minimum three (3) years field experience in out-of-hospital emergency care at the level of paramedic.
- Teaching experience in postsecondary and/or vocational or technical education.
- Be knowledgeable about methods of instruction testing and evaluation of students.
- Be knowledgeable concerning current Louisiana and national curriculum Louisiana and national registration and other requirements for state certification or licensure.
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Instructor. May obtain within one year of appointment.
- Louisiana EMS Instructor certification. May obtain within one year of appointment.
Skills:
- Competence in the use of computer technology to deliver instruction.
- Effective skills in writing speaking listening and time management.
- Commitment to work self-motivation professionalism and team relations.
Job Duties and Other Information
Instructor duties to include but not limited to instruction of students. Contributions to the continued development of the curriculum. Participation in professional growth and community service. Maintenance of conference and academic advising hours. Participation in committees as assigned.
