Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
- BI Solution Development: Design and implement BI solutions that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models that optimize the storage and retrieval of data for reporting purposes.
- Dashboard Creation: Develop interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI Looker) to visualize data effectively.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy consistency and reliability of data used in reporting and analysis.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions to ensure timely access to data.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of BI processes data sources and reporting standards.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior BI engineers and team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering Computer Science or Information Technology.
- 6 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts data visualization techniques and cloud tools.
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Looker studio Tableau Power BI Qlik or incorta.
- Understanding data storytelling principles to create impactful dashboards.
- Knowledge of designing intuitive and user-friendly BI interfaces.
- Support ad-hoc data analysis requests and provide recommendations based on insights.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Hands-on experience with ETL development and data warehouse solutions (e.g. Snowflake Redshift BigQuery Azure Synapse).
- Collaborate with business analysts stakeholders and IT teams to gather BI requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- familiar with ETL tools and processes.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Python R) for advanced analytics.
