Job Title :Clinician (LCPC LGPC LCSW LGSW) Department:Behavioral & Clinical Services Schedule:Mon-Fri 9am-5pm Position Overview:Athelas is a seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) to provide therapeutic services to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health diagnoses. The clinician will conduct assessments develop treatment plans provide counseling and collaborate with a interdisciplinary team to assist the people supported in achieving their goals. The Clinician will partner with people supported and their interdisciplinary teams to assist in the development implementation monitoring and revisions of behavior support plans. In order to meet these requirements at Athelas Institute Inc. the following will be necessary: Essential Job Functions: Essential Functions Clinical Responsibilities Client Assessments & Treatment Planning: - Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Therapeutic Services: - Provide individual group and family therapy.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Support clients in crisis situations and develop safety plans.
Documentation & Compliance - Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with HIPAA and agency policies.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Behavioral Supports - Assist in the development and monitoring of behavior support plans.
- Complete initial and ongoing assessments (such as Behavioral Functional Assessments preference assessments etc.) necessary for plan implementation; Attend meetings as scheduled for annual support team meetings and interim meetings regarding behavioral concerns for persons served.
Program Supports - As assigned provide coaching and clinical guidance to Behavioral Health Associates
- Participate as an active member of the Behavioral Health team including supervision sessions collaborating to provide coverage for clinician absences sharing expertise and clinical impressions with team members and attending staff meetings and trainings.
- Support behavioral health quality initiatives and special projects.
Other Functions - Work with and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team including but not limited to care providers Coordinators of Community Services allied healthcare professionals etc.
- Complete billing forms.
- Research adaptive and therapeutic equipment as recommended by the Clinical team.
- Attend all required trainings to include all DDA mandated trainings all Athelas Institute Inc. required trainings and all trainings assigned by the Director of Clinical & Behavioral Supports.
- Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings.
- Staff will be required to utilize agency electronic systems for communication time and attendance progress notes incident report filing etc.
- Complete and maintain required trainings in accordance with DDA/State/Company regulations.
- Travel to various agency sites and work in a mobile setting.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Director or designee.
Education & Experience Requirements - Masters degree in social work psychology or related field and an LCPC LCSW-C or LCSW. license required.
- Ability to enter clinical supervision with our onsite board approved supervisors.
- At least one year of professional experience providing behavioral supports and mental health counseling for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous situations with little direction running toward problems without being asked; solutions oriented.
- Ability to remain flexible calm under pressure and adaptive to changing situations.
- Experience working across cultural geographic and programmatic lines to positively support people served.
- Excellent oral and written communications; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage positive communication in difficult situations and the ability to provide candid/constructive feedback.
- Proficiency in MS Word Excel Outlook and knowledge of outcome systems required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Knowledge and ability to practice / teach positive behavioral supports and trauma informed care best practices
- Understanding of applied behavioral analysis
- Able to quickly learn Agency policies and procedures
- Able to communicate effectively with the public and employees in a professional positive and friendly manner

- Able to adjust in a fast-paced environment demonstrating flexibility
- Able to keep complete thorough and accurate records

- Must have excellent judgement skills
Physical Requirements: Person must be able to walk stand and sit for up to 8 hours Person must be able to successfully demonstrate all Mandt Systems training physical interventions and techniques to include assisting supported person to standing providing assistance with ambulation physical releases and physical restraints.
