Are you an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager looking for your next challenge in childrens residential care Do you want to lead a passionate team in a brand-new residential childrens home and make a lasting impact on the lives of young people
Were seeking a Registered Childrens Home Manager to launch and lead a new Ofsted-regulated childrens home supporting young people aged 818 with complex behavioural emotional and social needs (BESD/EBD).
About the Role
As a Registered Manager youll be responsible for the successful setup and ongoing operations of our new childrens residential service. Youll lead inspire and manage a dedicated team to ensure the home delivers high-quality care meets all Ofsted regulatory standards and supports children in achieving positive meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the homes day-to-day operations
- Lead supervise and develop a team of residential support workers
- Ensure full compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations 2015 Ofsted Quality Standards and the Childrens Act 1989
- Promote a culture centred around safeguarding independence and positive behaviour support.
- Work closely with local authorities social workers and external professionals.
- Maintain financial oversight including budget management and business viability.
- The Registered Manager will drive continuous improvement through audits inspections and team development
- Be part of the on-call rota and be flexible to work across a 7-day week (including weekends nights and sleep-ins)
What Were Looking For
We are looking for a compassionate driven and experienced leader who is committed to providing the highest standard of care for vulnerable children and young people.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young Peoples Residential Services) or willingness to achieve it within 6 months
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a residential childcare setting (within the last 5 years)
- A Registered Manager with at least 1 year of experience managing or supervising staff in a care environment
- Strong working knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations Ofsted standards and safeguarding legislation
- Excellent leadership communication and decision-making skills
- Passion for making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people
- Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24/7 care service
