QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in educational administration or related field
- Washington State principal certification
- Three years of successful teaching/certificated experience at secondary level
- Five years of successful secondary administrative school-based experience preferred
- Commitment to social justice and equity
- Experience with Special Education programs preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
- Directly assist the principal with:
- general administration of the school and implement the educational goals of the District
- staff evaluations supervision of instruction and curriculum development
- developing and maintaining school-parent relationships public relations within the community and for utilizing fully
the community resources to enrich the learning programs
- working collaboratively with students parents and staff to maintain a positive school climate
- assisting staff in creating an engaging learning experiences in classrooms
- Demonstrate a commitment to Diversity Equity and Inclusionary practices
- Communicate mediate and problem solve with students staff parents and community
- Support classroom instruction
- Collaborate effectively with administrative team
- Supervise activities athletics and special events
- Support an effective student leadership program that includes student activities and maintaining a general positive student climate
- Be informed and assist in the compliance of district state and federal policies and procedures
- Confer with the principal on a regular basis and perform all duties as assigned
- Continue to grow professionally by participating in educational methods and development attending professional meetings and workshops and studying the latest educational research
- Collaborate and be an effective member of the district administrative team
- Lead with an equity lens to ensure students are receiving needed instruction and support
- Demonstrate an understanding of diverse cultures and backgrounds of our students and families
- Lead and support an effective student discipline system that includes innovative strategies preventative approaches and proactive plans for students
- Build and encourage collaborative respectful and authentic relationships
- Demonstrate integrity honesty and a willingness to listen to others
- Use diplomacy and tact to diffuse tense situations

- Incorporates strategies that engage all student and families particularly those that historically have been underserved
- Engages with communities to promote a sense of belonging and relevant learning activities
- Assesses student data and identifies barriers that contribute to the existence of achievement gaps in opportunity and achievement
- Creates coherent plans that dismantle barriers and result in closing achievement gaps
