Job Description

Job Title: Technical Training Lead

Location: We are seeking a Technical Training Lead to create deliver and manage training content focused on Fire-Stopping Fire Protection and HVAC products. This position is based at our brand-new ROCKWOOL Training Academy in Hams Hall Birmingham and is offering full-time permanent employment.

Your Future Team:

Reporting into the Head of Technical this person will be collaborating with Product Management Sales Marketing & Communications R&D and Compliance teams internally while dealing with specifiers contractors customers regulators and third-party certifiers externally.

What you will be doing:

  • Designing and delivering training modules and CPD-accredited content in Fire-stopping Fire Protection and HVAC and any other relevant product areas
  • Delivering the training content both theory (classroom) and practical (product & system installs)
  • Delivering training content to internal (including new starters) and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring training KPIs and analytics are fit for purpose and aligned with the businesses strategic goals and delivered to target
  • Having overall responsibility for the operation of the ROCKWOOL Training Academy (including stock control of materials preparation building and demolition of installation rigs well-equipped training environment and installation tools)
  • Engaging in industry working groups and trade associations (where appropriate)
  • Participating in various laboratory tests focused but not limited to fire testing
  • Providing technical support for the Fire-stopping Fire Protection and HVAC range when required
  • Participating in internal strategic working groups in fire-stopping Fire Protection and HVAC
  • Providing site support alongside commercial team
  • Actively participating in continuous improvement of design support processes tools and documentation.

What you bring:

  • IFE Level 2 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection or higher
  • Extensive experience in the construction industry in fire protection with specialism in Fire-Stopping and HVAC
  • Previous experience in the delivery of training material
  • Written and spoken English language to a high professional business level
  • A good understanding of different installation techniques and installer habits
  • High level of IT proficiency PowerPoint will be a critical tool
  • The ability to communicate at all levels with external and internal stake holders
  • CPD content creation and delivery
  • Capable of providing guidance to customers and colleagues to ensure product and system compliance
  • CAD literate with experience of AutoCad
