The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is hiring for a Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to join the Flight Test Instrumentation & Data Systems (I&DS) Design & Planning team in Tukwila WA. The team is responsible for designing the application of instrumentation installation of test equipment and integration of data system infrastructure onto a variety of aircraft systems and components to measure and collect flight test data. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the fast-paced area of Flight Test and a chance to work on multiple programs across the enterprise.

BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced level Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineers.

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Support the development and documentation of mechanical electrical and fluid system environment
• Support the development maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers
• Perform detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations
• Perform spatial integration at system or component level and modification of production aircraft mechanisms
• Assist in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems
• Assist in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts
• Work under general supervision
• Work amongst cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
• 1 years of experience in mechanical engineering
• 1 years of experience with engineering and design software (i.e. CAD/3D packages (UG/NX CATIA SolidWorks CREO etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1 years of experience working conceptual preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical audiences and be a self-starter
• Experience in Test and Evaluation Engineering

Summary pay range for associate level: $81600 $110400

Summary pay range for experienced level: $102000 - $138000
