What You Will Do*:
Plan and administer highway management program within budget
Control budget by allocating resources based on need
Projects future fiscal needs
Supervise employees

All bargaining unit and exempt new hires to ODOT must serve a one-year probationary period.

In County/Highway Operations: 48 mos. exp. or 48 mos. trg. in construction or highway management projects &/or program related activities (e.g. developing & executing operational plans involving related equipment materials or employees developing operational plans & budgets); 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in reading survey &/or construction plans to include 12 mos. trg. in supervisory principles & techniques or management.
In Construction: completion of undergraduate core program in Construction Management or Construction Engineering Technology; 24 mos. exp. or 24 mos. trg. in construction or highway management projects &/or program related activities (e.g. developing & executing operational plans involving related equipment materials or employees developing operational plans & budgets including 12 mos. Trg. Or exp. In critical path method scheduling software); 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in reading survey &/or construction plans to include 12 mos. trg. in supervisory principles & techniques or management.
-Or 24 mos. exp. as Transportation Construction Manager;
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
