The Candidate
We are seeking a Sales Trader to join our growing team in Stockholm. As part of a dynamic company focused on environmental commodities you will have the chance to develop your skills in trading client relationships and market analysis in one of the fastest-growing sectors globally.
The ideal candidate is anative Swedish speaker with a keen interest in commodities finance and the environment. You will be a self-motivated energetic team player who thrives in a collaborative setting. While prior experience in environmental commodities is a plus it is not required; we are looking for someone who is eager to learn grow and contribute to our shared mission. You should be confident open to feedback and committed to developing your commercial and trading expertise over time.
The Role
As a Junior Sales Trader you will be an integral part of our team in the Nordics helping to build and maintain relationships with key clients (utilities corporates industrials project developers and more) and execute trades that meet both client and company objectives. You will work closely with senior team members and receive the support you need to develop as a trader in the environmental commodities space.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Building and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients including utilities project developers and corporates.
- Assisting in the structuring and closing of transactions related to energy efficiency certificates and other environmental commodities.
- Conducting market research to identify opportunities and support the teams strategic growth efforts.
- Contributing to the development of new deal structures that align with both client needs and Caelys objectives.
- Communicating regularly with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the business to achieve team goals and ensure client satisfaction.
The Requirements
To be considered for the Junior Sales Trader role you should meet the following criteria:
- Fluency in Norwegian/Finnish/Danish (native speaker) and English is a must.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Finance Economics or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in commodities trading business development or a related field. Previous experience in environmental commodities is a plus but not required.
- A strong interest in environmental sustainability and climate change.
- Self-starter highly motivated and eager to learn and grow in the financial markets.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to engage with clients and colleagues effectively.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel; additional data analysis skills are a plus.
- Able to work well within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Must be based in Stockholm Sweden or willing to relocate.
