As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment BanksEquity Derivatives Group (EDG) Sales & Technology Management team you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the development of server-side applications using Java and Spring.
- Design and develop scalable architectures ensuring performance efficiency.
- Implement messaging frameworks.
- Develop and execute automated testing strategies including end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate effectively within an agile team setting and communicate with key stakeholders.
- Provide DevOps production support to ensure application stability and address business queries.
- Mentor junior developers and drive design and code review sessions.
- Add to team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java Spring and messaging framework for server-side development.
- Proficiency with No Sql databases
- Expertise in designing scalable architectures and developing performance-efficient applications.
- Experience with messaging frameworks particularly Active MQ Tibco and KAFKA
- Proficiency in automated testing including end-to-end processes.
- Ability to provide DevOps support and mentor junior team members.
- Capability to lead design and code review sessions.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Proficiency in Cassandra is preferred
- Experience with AWS and cloud services.
- Good Understanding UI development using React JS/.Net and familiarity with container technologies.
- Understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD.
- Knowledge of SRE concepts such as monitoring and log tracing.
