Teacher: Junior High English Language Arts
Temporary: August 25 - December 19 2025 or return of incumbent Location Westwood Community High School
FTE 1.0

Westwood Community High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Junior High English Language Arts Teacher.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education
- Alberta Teaching Certificate or is eligible to obtain certification in Alberta
- Experience teaching in a junior high school setting with knowledge of junior high humanities programs of study.
- Knowledge and familiarity with Assessment for Learning Literacy and Differentiated Instruction practices.
- Effective organizational and classroom management skills are imperative.
- Ability to integrate and use technology in a regular and virtual classroom.
- Ability to create goals for Individual Program Plans and implement the plan for students.
- A strong ability to build relationships with students staff and parents.
- Strong technology skills are required with knowledge of Google Platform applications and PowerSchool an asset.
- Flexible TEAM player.
