Job Description

Supply Chain Administrator

Job Title: Supply Chain Administrator

Job Description:

The Supply Chain Administrator is responsible for supporting the administrative functions of the Supply Chain department ensuring timely delivery of materials and information from supply base to Axis project teams. Reporting to the Manager of Shared Services this entry-level position will provide support to our Buyers and Shipping and Receiving Clerk while developing the foundation for advancing their career in supply chain. The ideal candidate for this role is tenacious process-oriented and a strong communicator.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Updating ERP system with purchase order confirmations from the supply base
    • Follow up on mismatched promise dates vs. required dates
    • Ensuring that confirmed price and terms match purchase order price and terms
    • Escalating discrepancies affecting budgets and timelines to Buyers and Project teams
  • Monitoring outstanding purchase orders and distributing PO information
    • Expedite orders as needed by project teams
    • Follow up with supply base contacts regarding status of past due purchase order lines and communicate delays and new promise dates to build team and project management
  • Support department data collection and analysis
    • Compile and distribute PO reports by project prior to build start date
    • Monitor vendor on time delivery metrics
    • Assist with tracking department KPIs
  • Support shipping and receiving as needed
  • Coordinate internally and externally to efficiently process RMAs
  • Assist with disposition of non-returnable distressed inventory through appropriate channels
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent some coursework in business or supply chain a plus
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exposure to transacting in any ERP system a plus
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and follow-through

Compensation: $20-$24/hour depending on experience
