Job Description
- Location: Irving TX 75061
- Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring patients including monitoring fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs.
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor delivery and immediate postpartum care.
- Administer medications IVs and epidurals as prescribed.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations (e.g. hemorrhage fetal distress).
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families during childbirth.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.
- Ensure a clean safe and comfortable environment for patients.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure/Certification:
- RN Registered Nurse (State of Texas)
- BLS Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in Labor & Delivery.
