Job Title: Assistant Manager Legal Compliance & Liaison (Residential Building Society)
Location: Andheri East Mumbai

About the Role:
We seek an experienced Assistant Manager Legal Compliance & Liaison to oversee a large residential complexs legal and statutory compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in housing society laws municipal regulations licensing statutory returns and external state administration liaison to ensure smooth operations and legal adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act RERA local municipal laws and other applicable housing society regulations.
- Licensing & Approvals: Handle statutory approvals renewals of licenses fire NOCs environmental clearances and other regulatory documentation.
- Statutory Filings: Oversee timely submission of tax returns property taxes and annual filings with relevant authorities.
- Government Liaisoning: Act as the primary point of contact for liaising with BMC MMRDA local police and government agencies for approvals and issue resolutions.
- Vendor Compliance: Ensure facility management vendors adhere to labor laws ESI PF and other contractual obligations.
- Grievance Handling: Address resident and committee concerns regarding legal compliance disputes or regulatory matters.
- Audit & Documentation: Maintain proper records of legal and compliance matters supporting audits and inspections when required.
- Contract & Agreement Management: Draft review and renew maintenance contracts lease agreements and vendor agreements.
- Facility Oversight: Support managing facility services within the complex ensuring operational and legal efficiency.
- Risk Management: Identify legal risks associated with property management and develop mitigation strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
- Education: Graduate with MBA or Law will be preferred
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in facility management with a strong focus on legal compliance for residential housing societies in Mumbai.
- Skills: Excellent understanding of cooperative housing laws municipal regulations vendor management and government liaison.
