As a Manager in the Business Consulting practice you will lead and own large-scale consulting engagements that enable and drive significant changesto help our clients achieve theirmanufacturing goals. This is a client-facing full-time role that requires the ability to lead and deliver complex consulting engagements in diverse manufacturing environments not limited to any one industry vertical.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic thinking operational expertise and hands-on consulting experience with a track record of helping manufacturing organizations navigate transformation improve performance and solve operational and organizational challenges. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients supporting initiatives across the full spectrum of manufacturing functions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver consulting engagements focused on solving complex challenges within the manufacturing industry including process improvement operational excellence factory automation digital transformation to name a few.
- Apply deep knowledge of manufacturing environments to analyze client operations identify root causes and design practical actionable solutions.
- Lead and own large-scale client initiatives and programs in support of Wavestones overall P&L and growth potential ensuring quality work on time and within budget.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients managing relationships and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Actively guide and participate in client engagement(s) to direct solution development and implementation.
- Create and develop business relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
- Execute business development plans including lead qualification problem/solution exploration proposal generation and related client meetings.
- Contribute to business development goals established by leadership.
- Lead and motivate direct reports as well as client project team members. Provide regular feedback and development-focused coaching and mentoring.
- Support talent recruitment by acquiring and developing high potential talent.
- Facilitate client meetings and conversations that result in clear outcomes and mutual understanding.
- Develop clear and compelling business presentations/reviews for internal and external audiences.
- Develop overall governance programs to effectively define monitor and support programs and strategies.
- Continually evaluate and learn new tools processes or approaches to further improve existing methodologies. Create new methodologies and other intellectual capital for the practice area.
- Actively participate in and represent the company at business marketing events such as speaking engagements networking events executive events and seminars.
Qualifications :
Education
- Bachelors degree in a variety of disciplines to include Business Engineering Operations or other relevant disciplines.
- Masters/MBA preferred.
Required Experience
- 5 or more years consulting experience with a deep emphasis in manufacturing with a strong focus on manufacturing clients across a range of sectors.
- Proven ability to lead client engagements and teams with experience managing complex projects in manufacturing involving efficiency productivity quality cost and digital capabilities.
- Well-developed business acumen including policy alignment concise communication and technology solutions in support of a clients strategic goals.
- Demonstrated success executing business development plans and goals.
- A focus on strategic planning including critical thinking bringing structure to ambiguous situations and leading toward a future vision.
- Well-developed communications skills including expertise in delivering compelling presentations to stakeholders.
- Effective problem resolution skills including the ability to break a problem down into solvable components.
- Demonstrated customer focus that conveys a genuine concern for customer needs and generates customer satisfaction.
- People leadership including experience serving as a coach and mentor in support of individual and team development.
- Proven ability to build trusting interpersonal relationships and model professional demeanor when faced with opposition pressure or stressful conditions.
- Ability to travel based on client requirements.
Preferred Experience
- 8 or more years experienceinconsulting including team leadership with deep experience in manufacturing transformation across a variety of verticals.
- Experience developing a practice or set of service offerings to clients.
- Process improvement/Six Sigma/Lean Sigma experience.
