Job Description

This position is contingent on contract award.

International Health and Medical Services is seeking a skilled Contract Coordinator to enhance the seamless operation of healthcare services. The ideal candidate will manage a variety of administrative tasks coordinate appointments and foster effective communication among healthcare personnel. This role is crucial for maintaining organized records ensuring timely access to medical care and facilitating the overall healthcare delivery process within the organization. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as a Contract Specialist responsible for acquisition planning preparation of cost and price analysis for designated actions contract negotiation contract execution and production management activities. 
  • Review analyze coordinate and provide determinations on production management functions from the point of pre-award survey to delivery of hardware and closeout of contracts. 
  • Formulates negotiation objectives and negotiations contracts for hardware or services on one or more components of subsystems. 
  • Prepares designated price and cost-analysis in accordance with current command regulations and policies. 
  • Apply contracting principles laws statues regulations and procedures applicable to pre-award and post-award actions sufficient to procure and administer contracts. 
  • Prepare solicitations and evaluating the resulting proposals 
  • Develop and document a negotiation position based on price and/or cost analysis. 
  • Conduct contract administration activities including change orders modifications resolution of quality issues and terminations. 
  • Document and maintain contract files to ensure records are accurate and complete. 
  • Communicate with through written and verbal communication with vendors/customers.

Qualifications :

Basic Requirements/Certifications:  

  • One year of specialized experience with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.  
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel Word Power Point Outlook (email) Windows Social Media Platforms and navigating the web.   
  • Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.  
  • Must have excellent customer service and self-organization skills.  
  • Applicants must have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees both inside and outside the organization. 
  • Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS). 
  • Trained in Basic First Aid. 
  • Employees shall have at least one year of general experience that demonstrates the following: 
  • The ability to greet and deal tactfully with the public.  
  • Capability of understanding and applying written and verbal orders rules and regulations. All personnel shall be literate and be able to interpret printed rules and regulations detailed written orders training instructions and materials and must be able to compose reports.  
  • Good judgment courage alertness an even temperament and render satisfactory performance through knowledge of his/her position responsibilities.  
  • Ability to maintain poise and self-control during situations that involve mental stress such as fires explosions civil disturbances and building evacuations. 

Education Required: 

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees OR
  • Current civilian employee in DoD or member of the Armed Forces who occupied an 1102 position contracting officer position or comparable military contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30 2000.  

Physical Requirements: 

  • This position is considered hazardous duty. 
  • Required to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 5 minutes and maintain balance. 
  • Required to jog/fast walk up to mile. 
  • Requires physical exertion such as lifting objects greater than 30 pounds. 
  • Required to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling. 
  • Must have the ability to assist sick injured or aging patients or staff exiting the building (may require lifting dragging wheeling or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than self). 
  • Must be able to see hear and smell with aids if necessary. 
  • Must be able to lift push or carry 30 pounds. 
  • Must perform the duties of my job in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations. 
  • Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time. 
  • Average manual dexterity for computer operation. 
  • Phone or computer use for extended periods of time. 

Other Special Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 21 years of age. 
  • Must maintain current/physical residency in the continental U.S. 
  • Pass a medical examination conducted by a licensed physician within 30 days prior to initial assignment. 
  • Be a U.S. citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the U.S. for permanent residence. 
  • Have resided in the U.S. for the last five years (unless abroad on official U.S. government duty). 
  • Successfully engage in and complete a thorough Background Investigation. 
  • Poses or have ability to obtain required security clearances. 
  • Proficiency in Spanish is preferred. 


Additional Information :

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
