Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance supervisory expertise in a new cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.
Youll lead and guide a team of skilled Maintenance Technicians ensuring compliance with safety standards and driving operational efficiency. Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business (Vehicle Technicians Operations Managers and other Maintenance Supervisors) coordinate work schedules and oversee repairs and recommend and implement improvements to enhance productivity quality and efficiency within the vehicle maintenance department and much more.

Coordinating and supervising the work of Vehicle Technicians.
Preparing work schedules assigning tasks and overseeing the quality of work products.
Recommending developing and implementing improvements to enhance productivity quality and efficiency within the vehicle maintenance department.
Managing budgets by controlling labor and material expenditures.
Promoting and enforcing safety rules and safe work habits among the team.
Ensuring compliance with railroad policy and federal/state regulations.
Supporting the team with technical expertise in mechanical or electrical systems when needed.
Utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint Maximo and SAP to track and manage operations.
Fostering a culture of leadership resilience adaptability and continuous learning within the team.

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical field (preferred but not required).
Experience or understanding of maintenance supervision particularly in a transportation or rail environment.
Knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems including diagnostics and repair.
Familiarity with federal/state regulations and policies related to rail vehicle maintenance.
Strong communication and leadership skills to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint Maximo and/or SAP.
Ability to coordinate and oversee work schedules across multiple shifts.
Resilience and adaptability to manage budgets and control labor/material expenditures.
Commitment to promoting safety and cultivating a culture of safe work habits.
A continuous learning mindset to identify and implement productivity quality and efficiency improvements.
