Job Description

Were looking for full-time team members to join our Portland Warehouse Operations team and fill in as a Van Driver when needed. Ideal candidates are those who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to help to improve how we do our work every day. 70% warehouse work and 30% driving
Compensation: $20.00/hr
Compensation when filling in as a Van Driver: $22.25
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

Job duties include
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions including all 4 seasons (Summer Fall Winter Spring).
- Unload items from the Ridwell van and prepare for sorting into designated bin.
- Sort items at Ridwell warehouse that are collected from customers.
- Constantly open and close cotton drawstring bags and empty contents into larger containers.
- Sort items into designated containers using care so items can be reused or recycled.
- Operate light industrial warehouse machinery such as a baler pallet jack and straddle stacker.
- Ability to learn company policies and procedures and follow their guidance.
- Frequently communicate with current potential and former customers who have inquiries about their Ridwell membership. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Participates as a part of the entire Ridwell team.
- Other duties assigned as necessary by management.
- Arrive on time to each stop on your route.
- Follow instructions on our Ridwell fleet app directing you to pick up specific items at each stop.
- Communicate any discrepancies on pick up with Ridwell driver support.
- Understand time management and communicate when a route is taking longer than anticipated.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal/external customers.
- Load and unload items into and out of the company-owned vans.
- Use text message and email to communicate with Ridwell driver support and the Ridwell driver manager.
- Deliver Ridwell bins and bags to new members houses.
- On-Board new Ridwell members by explaining the service and answers common questions.
- Ensure compliance regarding all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties assigned as necessary by management.
As a Van Driver:
Job Requirements
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance - we count on each other to be here when scheduled so we can deliver excellent service as a team
- Must be 21 years or older with a valid drivers license for at least 3 years
- Ability to read and follow written or oral instructions in English
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently push pull squat bend and reach and lift up to 49 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must own and be able to use a smartphone and Google or Apple maps
- Ability to communicate effectively digitally via text and email.
- Must pass a background and motor vehicle history check if offered the position.
- Must be available to work Monday-Friday and possible Saturday shifts.
- Previous Pick up and/or Route Delivery experience strongly preferred
$19.25 - $21.50 an hour
