Position: Trade Sales Temp (Part-Time)
Location: Port Chester Remote
Schedule: 3 days per week
Reports to: Director of Trade Sales

Position Overview - Trade Sales Temp (Part-Time)
We are seeking a motivated detail-oriented Trade Sales Temp to support outreach efforts to both new and dormant interior designers. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced client-focused environment with exposure to trade sales lead generation and designer relationship management. Its a great opportunity to contribute to business growth while gaining valuable insight into the interior design and sales industries.

Daily Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect Research:
    • Conduct targeted research to identify new and dormant interior designers in priority markets.
    • Compile and maintain accurate data in our Sales Platform and tracking systems.
  • Outreach & Engagement:
    • Reach out to designers via phone and email using provided scripts and messaging.
    • Communicate The Shade Stores trade benefits and offerings clearly and professionally.
    • Offer various engagement opportunities including:
      • Trade Days in key areas
      • One-on-one Designer Presentations
      • Local showroom events or hosted gatherings
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
    • Coordinate with the Trade Sales team to align on market priorities and outreach cadence.
    • Track outreach results and report weekly activity and outcomes.
    • Keep schedule for appointments and meetings

Ideal Candidate:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing Communications Interior Design Business or a related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging in professional conversations
  • Self-motivated detail-oriented persistent and organized
  • Interest in interior design or luxury home goods is a plus

THE SHADE STORE offer is contingent upon:

The hourly range for this position is $23-$25/hour commensurate with experience.
