About the Role:
This position provides support primarily to the Indianapolis campus by answering the phone greeting and assisting students staff and visitors addressing questions referring them to appropriate information sources and helping students find information on the Ivy Tech and MyIvy websites.
The position working under minimal supervision serves as the first point of contact to address day-to-day building operations during the shift by identifying and reporting potential problems that may require resolution. The Office Services Assistant also functions to assist faculty and staff with troubleshooting any issues that may arise such as submitting facility or IT help desk tickets finding a workaround solution to meet the immediate need of students or staff or escalating concerns to building leadership.
The position requires the staff member to be a continuous learner understanding key information about Ivy Tech Community College and its Services. As assigned the staff member completes projects to aid in the effective operation of the department. Includes general office tasks involving frequent public contact and frequent computer use.
