We are searching for a Manager Credit Risk to manage a team.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Manages credit approval review and/or debt restructuring units through the direct management of a group of managers. Oversees plans and directs the activities for the units ensuring that the business objectives are being met
- Manages the loan approval review documentation and collateral evaluation processes to ensure compliance with companys policies and government regulations
- Assesses the potential risk of loan portfolios and reports to senior management on a regular basis. Reviews problem loans assesses risk to the bank and takes appropriate action
- Oversees the collection restructuring and monitoring of troubled loan portfolios
- Seasoned leader with extensive business experience and broad functional expertise with focus on proactive strategic leadership
- Responsible for managing multiple units or functions through the direct management of a group of managers
- Oversees plans and directs the activities for the Unit ensuring that Business objectives are being met
- Develops Implements and communicates an overall strategy to meet both the Business Units and Corporations strategic plan. Directs the activities of those areas toward accomplishing those objectives
- Assumes accountability for financial and staffing resources including developing and managing capital and expense budgets liaising cross-function to improve efficiency effectiveness and productivity
- Assumes full accountability for the performance and profitability of the area as compared to the plan
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
- Knowledge of business strategy development is necessary to provide long term planning and to manage the profitability/performance of a major business segment.
- Leadership and organizational skills are required to direct the activities for the multiple units.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- In-dept credit approval review and commercial lending knowledge is required
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change
- College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience in credit approval or review
- commercial lending area with prior management experience is require

Salary Range:
$171700 - 300500 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
