Quality Engineer Plastic Fabrication Manufacturer
Location:Middlesbrough
Salary:per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours:40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Holidays:23 days annual leave 8 bank holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Develop implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
- Conduct inspections and testing of plastic fabricated products to ensure they meet specifications
- Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive action initiatives
- Support continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and reduce waste
- Manage documentation related to quality standards audits and certifications
- Liaise with production engineering and customer service teams to resolve quality issues
- Assist in preparing for and conducting internal and external audits
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role ideally within plastic fabrication manufacturing or a related industry
- Strong knowledge of quality systems standards and methodologies (e.g. ISO 9001 lean manufacturing principles)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality management
