The County of Santa Barbaras Behavioral Wellness Department is accepting applications to fill one (1) full-time position for an Adult Clinical Outpatient Operations Manager. The County classification title is a Health Service Manager II and will be at-will and exempt from Civil Service protections. This position will have countywide responsibility and will require regular travel between regions.
THE POSITION
The Adult Clinical Outpatient Operations Manager is responsible for assuring the provision of mental health services as required by the State of California for all Medi-Cal beneficiaries which includes adults and older adults with serious mental illness. The Behavioral Wellness Department is responsible for implementing and overseeing services funded by the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). All services are delivered through both department-operated and community-based organizations (CBOs).

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Reports to an executive or Level III manager. Provides direct supervision to five or more team supervisors. Exercises direct and indirect supervision over assigned professional technical and administrative staff.
The Adult Clinical Outpatient OperationsManager will oversee services for a caseload of approximately 1000 clients. Services may include:

Specialty Mental Health Services at the Adult Clinics including individual family and group therapy assessment rehabilitation services plan development case management and peer supportABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:Founded in 1962 it is the mission of the Department of Behavioral Wellness to promote the prevention of and recovery from mental illness and addiction among individuals families and communities by providing effective leadership and delivering state-of-the-art culturally competent services. The Department provides treatment rehabilitation and support services to 10000 clients with mental illness and substance use disorders annually through its professional staff of over 400 in addition to its many contracted Community-Based Organization (CBO) providers.
