Job Description
This position is seeking a Real Estate Counsel or Tax Attorney.
As a member of the Commercial Department you will assist clients in facilitating the most complex types of 1031 exchanges. You will manage and review client files answer client inquiries and coordinate the administrative details necessary for the preparation processing and follow-up of a 1031 tax deferred exchange.
Youll ensure accountable decisions are taken at the right level in the organization and individuals making decisions are suitably informed about the level of risk on related matters. Responsible for providing administrative legal support related to contract management risk control compliance and other legal related matters for the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensures Commercial Department complies with relevant government regulations
- Provides essential support to Commercial Department on 1031 exchanges and serves as Liaison for the Commercial Department
- Typically follows existing procedures to perform routine assignments and to solve standard problems
- Assists in creating streamlined processes and procedures to foster efficiencies in the department
- Analyzes basic information and standard practices to make decisions impacting work performed
- Individual contributor working with direct oversight
- Performs all other duties as assigned by management
Education
- Bachelors degree in relevant field preferred
Experience
- Typically requires 5-10 years of related work experience
- Experience as a transactional Real Estate Attorney or Tax Attorney Preferred
Duration: Contract to Hire
Pay Range: $55/hr- $60/hr DOE
