Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

Vyndaqel (Vyndamax in the USA) is the standard of care treatment for a rare cardiac disorder ATTR-CM. Its a fatal disease and left untreated average life expectancy is only three years. The launch of Vyndaqel around the world 4-5 years ago revolutionized the treatment of this disease as it was the first treatment to show a significant mortality benefit for patients.

The focus since launch has been on driving suspicion & diagnosis of this under-diagnosed rare disease and this has proven to be successful with annual sales of >$5bn in 2024 alone. Vyndaqel is therefore one of Pfizers largest growth drivers. Two new competitors in the ATTR-CM space are launching around the world however and this requires excellence in competitive positioning messaging & selling.

This role reports to the Global Vyndaqel lead and will lead work cross-functionally with other members of the global ATTR-CM x-functional team including the Global Medicine Team (GMT) medical ICO the US organization & a broad range of further functions. This position requires strong HCP marketing experience proven leadership skills strategic thinking and agility. The candidate should demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills detail-oriented execution and a proven track record of fostering cross-functional collaboration.

This role is a team lead role and will also be responsible for managing a team of 2-3 direct reports.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

HCP Strategy

  • Own & lead the x-functional team in all aspects of our HCP positioning segmentation & messaging
  • Define & implement a compelling Vynda narrative that ensures Pfizer drives this disease space
  • Clearly define those patient segments that Vynda will own vs those where we will niche our competitors
  • Oversee the development of compelling HCP promotional materials to deliver the above tailored to our physician segmentation
  • Partner with ICO & US teams to ensure that these are pulled through at a local level
  • Work with our Med Ed & Congress Lead to integrate these strategies into our congress & Med-ed presence
  • Assess impact leveraging real-time insights in partnership with IIS. Partner closely with regional/local colleagues to evolve approach based on market needs and customer response
  • Partner with Global Medical & relevant colleagues from the Global Medicines team (GMT) to implement newly published data appropriately

Lead HCP Team & Line-Manage HCP Sr Managers

  • Set the direction coach & coordinate the work of the HCP marketing team of six colleagues (3 directors & 2 Sr Managers / 1 Manager). This will involve: Ensuring strategic pull-through across all aspects of the teams work setting priorities for the team & driving efficiency in work processes
  • Line-manage 2 Sr Managers and 1 manager ensuring they are clear on their responsibilities and guide them in successful execution
  • Ensure they have appropriate development plans to further their careers at Pfizer & partner with them to execute against these plans effectively
  • Drive x-functional alignment to the strategy across all relevant functions (ICO & US marketing Medical Public Affairs legal etc)
  • Partner with Global RC Lead to ensure all materials meet the necessary standard
  • Represent the Vyndaqel Global Marketing team in various above brand Global Marketing forums contributing positively to the overarching Global Marketing community

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years Pharmaceutical or biotechnology marketing experience
  • BA/BS required
  • Extensive HCP marketing experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead an x-functional team effectively in developing and implementing marketing strategy
  • Ability to quickly assume responsibility in complex fast paced environment
  • Strong influence/negotiation skills and relationship management capabilities are a must
  • Ability to bring strategy and analysis to a tactical executable level; results-oriented
  • Whilst people-management experience is not a requirement evidence of successfully coaching individuals at work is expected
  • Strong project and process management skills along with the ability to work on multiple
  • tasks and to effectively prioritize
  • Strong marketinganalytical and strategic skills including ability to identify and prioritize strategic challenges and balance short term needs with long-term vision; can manage through ambiguity
  • Excellentcommunication and presentation skills
  • Achieves results through others across functionsgeographiesand a variety of personalitystyles
  • Ability to planorganize focus and executein a fast-paced dynamic environmentwith a high degree of urgency
  • Must be mature self-driven and have exceptional learning agility

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • HCP marketing experience in the US or one of the largest 8 international markets
  • US Market experience preferred
  • MBA oradvanced degree in a related field preferred but not required
  • Previous regional / global marketing experience

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $182000.00 to $303300.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
