Job Description

Fixed Term-Part Time (July-mid September)

Earn $17.00 per hour

Location: Downtown Community Hub 301 Vaughan Street

Note -*This position is funded through a government youth employment program and is open to applicants that have successfully completed the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipegs Youth Employment Support Program pre-employment training.

Are you the right fit

  • Enjoy working with children between 2 to 12 years old supporting their social emotional and physical development in a safe and inclusive environment
  • Plan and facilitate engaging games and activities to promote safe and active play among children.

  • Help maintain a clean safe and organized play/supervision environment

  • Follow all YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg policies and procedures

What else do you need

  • High school or post-secondary student with a genuine interest in working with children
  • Successful completion of the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipegs Youth Employment Support program pre-employment training
  • Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification (can provide in house)
  • Positive energetic and responsible attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
