Job Description
This is a high-impact role that ensures our clients receive exceptional stormwater system service while leading crews to perform at their best. Youll be at the heart of Dragonfly Pond Works mission-delivering quality work maximizing team productivity and helping drive the success of every project.
Location: Virginia Beach VA 23320
Pay range: $60000 - $75000
Requirements
- At least one year of former field experience (Lake/Pond Maintenance Construction or Landscaping).
- Excellent managerial capabilities and current experience in a leadership role.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Great communication skills and ability to interact with multiple audiences including the Operations Team Client Service Managers clients subcontractors vendors and other stakeholders.
- Adapt and/or improvise quickly as demanded by conditions or unknown factors.
- Capability to work under pressure.
- Good teamwork.
- Ability to lift 80 pounds on a regular basis.
- Aptitude to work outside for long periods of time in unfavorable conditions.
- Willingness to travel to assist other branches with notice.
- Systems-oriented.
- Results-driven.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations for maintenance and mowing services ensuring all work is completed efficiently profitably and in alignment with client contracts.
- Lead and manage field crews including scheduling routing quality control and performance evaluations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices across all maintenance activities.
- Train new and existing employees on equipment use safety procedures plant identification and technical skills.
- Maintain equipment and vehicles managing inventory and ensuring functionality.
- Conduct regular site visits and quality assessments to ensure service standards and compliance requirements are met.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities and assisting with estimates staffing and client communication.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership on hiring onboarding and certification requirements.
