Position Summary: WRC is seeking a hands-on RF Technician to support the development testing and documentation of advanced wireless and antenna systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electronicswhether gained through military service education or industrywho thrives in a collaborative mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform antenna and RF testing and measurements for internal and client antenna and RF devices.
- Collaborate with technical staff on prototyping and testing of RF digital and analog electronics and antennas to support client focused projects.
- Assemble and test prototype RF assemblies.
- Document and report test results for internal and external stakeholders.
- Follow corporate operating policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the facilitys ability to meet and exceed technical performance and corporate standards.
Qualifications: - Electronics background with at least three years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with antennas and RF electronics prototyping (soldering and mechanical assembly) and electrical and electronics measurements.
- Experience with electronic instruments (e.g. power supplies voltmeters/ohmmeters multimeters oscilloscopes).
- Hands-on experience conducting RF measurements using spectrum analyzers VNAs and signal generators.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Office 365.
Desired but not required:- Experience assembling coaxial cables connectors and modules.
- Basic programming knowledge (e.g. C Python MATLAB).
- Familiarity with RF evaluation boards (e.g. GPS cellular).
- Experience with embedded processors and platforms.
- Soldering skills including assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs) with surface mount components.
- Experience using common shop tools (e.g. drill press bandsaw power hand tools).
Veteran-Focused Notes: Military training or service in roles such as Electronics Technician (ET) Avionics Technician RF Communications Specialist or similar is highly valued. Equivalent military occupational specialties (MOS) AFSCs or NECs are welcomed.
