The Opportunity
Within our Global Procurement department - Facilities & Engineering Network we are looking for a Senior Procurement Delivery Manager /Category Lead Production Equipment to support the procurement of equipment to support the execution of a portfolio of large facility investments (new buildings and brownfield) globally. You will work independently and be in close contact with our global procurement and customer excellence/business partner managers local and regional suppliers and engineering project leads.
You will play a variety of roles according to the general business/team requirements such as:
Category subject matter expert conducting market and internal analysis to develop strategies best practices tactics and vision for Roche to source and negotiate for third-party goods and services that satisfy stakeholder requirements.
Procurement practitioner developing and executing category strategies and strategic initiatives by leveraging spend category know-how robust sourcing negotiation contracting supplier management and project management methodologies and skills to deliver on objectives and support the enhancement of the skills and knowledge of team members.
Content and automation advocate ensuring category strategy into content and automated buying channels guidelines best practices and communication materials that improve business adoption satisfaction and overall efficiency.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement category strategies for production equipment.
Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and industry trends.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality cost and delivery criteria.
Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with contract terms.
Collaborate with internal departments such as production quality assurance and logistics to coordinate the procurement process.
Ensure the timely delivery of production equipment and prevent supply chain disruptions.
Monitor and improve supplier performance and procurement processes.
Generate reports and provide analysis to support decision-making.
Who you are
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Engineering or a related field.
Several years of experience in procurement and supplier management preferably in the production equipment sector.
Proven track record of delivering CAPEX & mid-large engineering projects
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
Knowledge and network within the landscape of equipment suppliers ideally in the pharmaceutical industry.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and as part of a team.
Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
Knowledgeable in procurement systems and operational processes
Demonstrated overall project management skills
