Job Title: Financial Office Associate
Education Level: High School Diploma required. Prior office experience or evidence of advanced training preferred.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Knowledge of basic office equipment including computers telephones and copy/printers.
- Experience using Internet and computer desktop applications including productivity software (i.e. Google and MS Office suites).
- Understanding of basic finances tracking expenses and maintaining budgets.
- Proficient in written and oral communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with a focus on rapport-building listening and questioning skills.
Essential Functions of Position:
1. Perform clerical duties as required
- Performs accurate typing data entry and computer skills.
- Uses effective written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrates sound decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationship skills with co-workers other departments and the public.
- Utilizes ESU 10 state and federal business and reporting systems.
2. Assists with grant applications and processes financial claims
- Prepares and processes contracts for presenters and service providers.
- Maintains financial records.
- Processes mileage and expenditure reimbursement claims.
- Prepares accounts payable and accounts receivable source documents.
3. Demonstrates proficiency utilizing ODIE
- Maintains accurate inventory records.
- Generates accounts receivable billings.
- Reconciles absence and travel requests.
- Prepares and manages workshops.
4. Specific departmental duties/projects
- Prepares and tracks orders for business equipment and workshop materials.
- Assists with budget preparations.
- Manages NIS department billing.
- Supports all financial aspects in the NIS department.
5. Adhere to regular and dependable attendance
6. Other duties as assigned
