Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:Southeastern Regional Technical Vocational High School seeks a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our science department. The ideal candidate will inspire students through student-centered engaging instruction foster a love of science and support student success in accordance with Massachusetts curriculum standards.POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Develop and implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL) lesson plans that encourage learner-centered student-owned educational experiences.
  • Create a classroom environment of high expectations that is safe supportive and inclusive.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to support and differentiate learning.
  • Assess and monitor student progress; provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with students parents/families and colleagues.SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry.
  • Valid Massachusetts teaching licensure in Chemistry. Candidates with a secondary license in Biology or Earth Science are preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Vocational high school experience preferred.
