Job Description
Applies extensive knowledge of clinical research protocols and processes to design research projects of large scope and high degrees of complexity.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $104000 - $156300 (Annual Rate).

  • Advanced knowledge of pediatric epilepsy clinical trial design
  • Certifications:
    • Human Subject Protection Training
    • Good Clinical Practice Course
  • Advanced knowledge of clinical research practices and philosophy and theability to apply knowledge and skills to recommend improvements in methodology. Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced ability to effectively lead one or more projects while competing to meet the demands of a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Adaptable to quickly changing priorities.
  • In-depth critical thinking skills to evaluate issues and identify a potential solution. Creatively addresses complex or new problems.
  • Advanced communication skills including verbal and written active listening critical thinking persuasiveness advising and counseling skills. Clear and concise communicator.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills including but not limited to: problem-solving teamwork development andleadership with other team members. Works well with others to achieve common goals.
  • Proven ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software. Advanced knowledge of clinical information and documentation application programs. Proven ability inutilizing clinical trial management systems.
  • In-depth ability to work collaboratively with other cross-functional teams. In-depth ability to interface collaborate and influence/persuade other members of an extended study team.

    Department Description
    The UCSF Pediatric Epilepsy Center is a Level 4 epilepsy center and engages in all aspects of clinical and research related to pediatric epilepsy. With a particular focus on refractory epilepsy a group of 6 clinical faculty members care for a large number of pediatric patients who have ongoing unmet needs. The Center has an active clinical research program with a team of CRCs that have participated in more than 20 clinical trials which have led to FDA approval of novel compounds to help address these unmet needs. The current clinical research program focuses primarily on the Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies and in particular Dravet syndrome and is a core site for many potentially disease-modifying therapies in various stages of development.
