Inventory Control Coordinator

Job Description We seek a reliable motivated and hard-working Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team. Under the supervision of the Receiving Manager the Inventory Control Coordinator will be responsible for cycle counting variance investigations expiration dates and performing tasks to ensure materials are at the proper levels and in the appropriate place to support picking operations.

Summary of major responsibilities

  • Ability to determine the root cause of inventory variances
  • Conduct cycle counting according to the scheduled plan and on-demand
  • Make recommendations to management to reduce error points
  • Strong background in warehouse processes and controls
  • All other duties based on business needs

Job Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Detailed-oriented
  • Familiar with Heat maps and Velocity reports
  • Strong Word and Excel user
  • Familiar with warehouse management systems
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in a climate-controlled warehouse
  • Routinely run reports to find variances throughout the workday
  • Must be able to lift and move 40 pounds regularly

Qualifications include

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of previous experience
  • Forklift certified preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience
  • Experience using a computerized inventory system and handheld computers as well as a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet programs
  • Must pass a company background check and drug test

Job Type: Full-time Hourly Position

  • Hours are Monday-Friday
    • 5 days per week 8-hour normal operating day
    • Typical workweek is 40 hours
    • Ability to work overtime when necessary

Compensation

  • Hourly Position
    • Pay range: $19.00-$25.00
    • Pay based on experience and performance.
