The iconic Old Post Office has been reimagined as Waldorf Astoria Washington DC reclaiming its position as one of Washington D.C.s preeminent addresses where all are welcome. With 263 rooms 38000 square feet of event space and 2 restaurants plus 3 bars this is the new home for Washington D.C.s most consequential events groundbreaking meetings and unforgettable experiences.
As the Senior Catering Sales Manager you will lead efforts to identify and cultivate new business opportunities across both corporate and social catering segments. Your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue by promoting the hotels food and beverage offerings and event spaces ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maximizing profitability.
The ideal candidate will bring prior sales experience with a strong preference for a background in catering sales. Experience in the hotel industry particularly within the luxury segment is highly desirable.
Classification:Full-Time
Shift: Various must be available to weekdays weekends and holidays.
Pay Rate:The annual salary range for this role is $75000-$85000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

- Develop market segments and solicit new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships.
- Conduct conferences and external sales presentations to groups and prospective customers to solicit explain negotiate and secure group and local catering business.
- Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts.
- Conduct property tours and participate in trade shows industry and community events to promote facilities and services.
- Negotiate services and prices to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Assist the Director in the management of the department as needed.
