Job Description
The St. Marys Acute Care Telemetry Unit Director provides strategic and operational leadership for two dynamic inpatient nursing units ensuring the delivery of safe high-quality and patient-centered care. This role is responsible for clinical oversight quality improvement and regulatory compliance leveraging data to drive performance outcomes and identifying opportunities for improvement. The director implements evidence-based practices leads course correction efforts in response to quality or safety trends and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to foster a culture of accountability engagement and excellence.
In addition to clinical leadership the Unit Director manages financial and human resources to meet organizational goals. They oversee budget planning monitor productivity benchmarks and implement strategies to optimize staffing and resource utilization without compromising patient care. This role requires strong analytical and interpersonal skills a commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to align unit operations with both short- and long-term strategic priorities of the organization.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $253900 - $269400 (Annual Rate).

Department Description
The St Marys Acute unit is a medical-surgical unit specializing in the care of patients with complex comorbidities this unit has a focus on orthopedic and oncologic populations. The St. Mary Telemetry unit is a 30-bed telemetry unit that cares for a diverse patient population requiring an elevated level of monitoring or specialized telemetry care. Both units are staffed with a dedicated team of nurses and ancillary care partners to ensure the highest quality of care.
