Thales Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) UK is a principal supplier of UAS EW and Radar equipment to the UK armed forces as well as an exporter of these capabilities worldwide.
We are seeking an Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) Project Design Authority with experience of working within the field of Electronic Warfare or related fields such as RESM CESM ECM or similar. You will have prior knowledge of the key principles of the domain and can quickly grasp the science and technology that sits behind a modern digital EW suite. You may have a military background having operated EW equipment in the field or have worked in the design development or testing of similar products.
The Project Design Authority (PDA) is the technical partner of the Project Manager in order to validate all technical choices organize technical peer reviews alert on any technical risks in the project and drive corrective actions. The PDA serves as the main interface towards the customer to clarify/negotiate technical scope in order to reduce technical risks and costs.

Security Clearance Statement
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held however if not currently held it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo achieve and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
To be eligible for full SC you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances a minimum of 3 years residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted with additional overseas checks.
